The 2012 Olympics are underway and there is plenty of Arsenal interest at the London Games.

Six Gooners will be in action on Thursday, August 2.

Beijing gold medallist Geraint Thomas looks to defend Great Britain's crown in the team pursuit, while Bobby White will lead out Team GB's men as they hunt their first handball victory of the Olympics against Argentina at the Copperbox.

Ashleigh Ball will be in action for the women's hockey team against Belgium at the Riverbank Arena, before Luol Deng and Eric Boateng take to the basketball court against Spain. Nathan French completes the list of Gooners in action for the day in the men's volleyball against Italy.

Aaron Ramsey enjoyed a superb game at the heart of midfield as Great Britain progressed to the quarter-finals of the Olympics with a 1-0 win over Uruguay on Wednesday night. The young Welshman played the full 90 minutes for Stuart Perace's side and was influential as Team GB confirmed their status as group winners.

Bradley Wiggins became the most decorated Briton in Olympic history with victory in the men's cycling time trial on Wednesday. The Tour de France winner picked up his seventh medal - and fourth gold - at Hampton Court Palace. Elsewhere, super-heavyweight Anthony Joshua helped extend Great Britain's excellent start in the Olympic boxing with a narrow 17-16 victory over Cuba's Erislandy Savon on Wednesday night.

In the men's rowing eights, Moe Sbihi picked up a bronze medal, while Harry Martin helped Team GB's men to a 2-2 draw against South Africa in the hockey.
