GunnersGaming by Betsson, Arsenal’s Official Betting Partner, give us the rundown on some of the markets on offer ahead of the Euro 2012 quarter-finals...
The group stage is over and half the teams (including both co-hosts) have been eliminated. That has seen the Arsenal contingent reduced from 10 to six, with Robin van Persie’s Holland the biggest casualties. However, there will be at least one player representing Arsenal in each quarter-final.
The tournament has provided plenty of surprise results so far, not least in Group A where both Greece and the Czech Republic progressed. While the Greeks may be dreaming of a repeat of 2004, they are likely to be no match for Germany who are now tournament favourites at just 2/1.
New signing Lukas Podolski has already got himself among the goals so why not back him to score first on Friday at 6/1?
The first quarter-final sees Tomas Rosicky’s Czechs take on a Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired Portugal. Unfortunately the Arsenal man is struggling to overcome an Achilles injury and his absence could be a hammer blow to Czech hopes. GunersGaming tip Portugal to win 1-0 at 9/2.
After France's surprise defeat to Sweden allowed England to top Group D, Laurent Blanc's much-fancied side must now find a way past reigning champions Spain. Philippe Mexes is suspended so Laurent Koscielny is likely to face the daunting task of denying the Spanish attack.
While Spain have not set the group stages alight it is worth noting that they won all four knockout games at the 2010 World Cup by the same 1-0 scoreline. When you add that the French are the lowest goalscorers in the competition, a 1-0 Spain win at 4/1 looks good value.
England fans will have to wait the longest before they see their team in action again but Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be hoping it will not be the last we see of them.
Italy entered the tournament under a cloud of controversy but have successfully negotiated what could have been a very tricky Group C. However, they should not hold too many fears for an England side that has grown in confidence as the tournament has progressed. While England have not been cavalier going forward they have topped their group and only Spain have scored more than them.
Back the Three Lions to win 2-1 at 19/2. And for those of you who are starting to believe why not take advantage of odds of 15/2 for them to go the whole way?
