GunnersGaming by Betsson, Arsenal’s Official Betting Partner, give us the rundown on some of the markets on offer ahead of tomorrow’s match against Norwich...
Arsenal go into their game with the Canaries knowing that only a win will do if they are to stay ahead in the race for Champions League football next year. With Newcastle and Tottenham both winning on Wednesday night, just one point separates all three teams and if Chelsea go on to win the Champions League then two of these teams will miss out.
Norwich are currently enduring their worst run of the season (losing their last three league matches) and having kept just two clean sheets all season, The Football Predictor expects Arsenal to pick up all three points.
While Paul Lambert's side have performed exceptionally well this season they have struggled for results away from home against the top teams in the league. In their last 20 away games they have just one win and a draw against teams ranked higher them so it is no surprise that the Predictor gives the Gunners a 75 per cent chance of winning and their odds are just 2/9 to do so.
The Football Predictor makes 2-0 the most likely scoreline and that represents good value at 4/1.
However, it is worth remembering that Arsenal were forced to come from behind against the Canaries early this season with only a fine Robin van Persie brace providing a win by the narrowest of margins.
Tomas Rosicky has picked up the Arsenal Player of the Month award for the second time in a row and the Czech midfielder has certainly returned to his best form when the team needed him most. With Mikel Arteta and Theo Walcott both out with injury, Rosicky has provided the creative spark to the Arsenal midfield. Back him to score tomorrow at 7/2.
If the Gunners do their part they could even secure third place this weekend. Despite Newcastle’s excellent form, the Predictor expects Manchester City to edge Newcastle 1-0 (5/1) and Spurs to have a tough game at Aston Villa with 0-0 or 1-1 both look likely outcomes at 17/2 and 9/2 respectively.
Back Arsenal to secure third place this weekend - Arsenal to win and Newcastle and Spurs to both lose is available at 13/2.
