Arsenal Football Club launched their home kit for the 2011/12 season at midnight on Wednesday with a special events for attending supporters.
Alongside guest appearances by Arsenal legend Charlie George and Arsenal Ladies' star Rachel Yankey, a live DJ played in the Emirates Stadium lower concourse and fans were given the chance to test their skills with some football challenge games.
Complimentary refreshments including football classics Bovril and hot dogs kept everyone fuelled until they walked down the red carpet to The Armoury Store where guests were greeted by a brass band.
Once the clock struck 12, supporters were able to get their hands on the new kit which features a bespoke crest, detailing 15 laurel leaves to reflect the design on the reverse of the six pence pieces paid by 15 men to establish the Club and 15 oak leaves to acknowledge the founders who would meet in the local Royal Oak pub in South London 125 years ago.
Some special items were on sale in the shop including 500 Arsenal heritage balls (worth £25) which were on sale for the 1886 price of three shillings and sixpence - a bargain 17p!
