EA SPORTS PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Cesc Fabregas... Player of the Month yet again

Fabregas is EA SPORTS Player of the Month!

Cesc Fabregas has won the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award - for a fourth consecutive month.

The captain's incredible run began in October when he pipped Robin van Persie to the prize. He forced Alex Song into second place in November and December and has now added the January award by a landslide.

Cesc polled just short of 60 per cent of the votes cast after another outstanding month. He was the driving force behind Arsenal's 2-0 win at Bolton, scoring the first goal at the Reebok Stadium, and was on target again in a 4-2 win over the same opponents three days later.

Arsenal's month took a turn for the worse with an FA Cup exit at Stoke and then one point from two Premier League games but Cesc maintained his high standards in the centre of midfield.

Thomas Vermaelen finished second in our January poll with just over one fifth of the votes cast and Tomas Rosicky was third.

JANUARY PLAYER OF THE MONTH RESULT
Player % of votes
Cesc Fabregas 59.9
Thomas Vermaelen 20.1
Tomas Rosicky 10.0
Others 10.0

Keith Malda from Bexleyheath has won the chance to present Cesc with his award before the Liverpool game on Wednesday. Keith will also receive two tickets to the match.

“Cesc showed in January just what a captain of a football club should be," said Keith. "He grabbed the team by the scruff of the neck and dragged us to some inspired wins. He is indispensible and is an Arsenal legend in the making."
