EA SPORTS PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Fabregas is EA SPORTS Player of the Month!

Cesc Fabregas has completed a hat-trick of EA SPORTS Player of the Month awards!

The captain pipped Robin van Persie to the October prize and edged out Alex Song in another battle royal for the November award. Now he has pushed Song into second place again to claim top spot in the Club's official December poll.

Fabregas' incredible 27-minute cameo against Aston Villa probably tipped the scales in his favour. The skipper came off the bench after 56 minutes on December 27 and promptly scored twice to secure the points before limping off with a recurrence of his hamstring injury.

Of course, Fabregas was excellent earlier in the month too. He helped Arsenal turn a half-time deficit into a priceless win at Liverpool and tore Burnley apart at Turf Moor, scoring a fine early goal before injury forced him off.

Song's consistency earned him second spot in our official Club poll while the in-form Abou Diaby claimed third place with 13.72 per cent of the votes cast.

DECEMBER PLAYER OF THE MONTH RESULTS
Player % of votes
Cesc Fabregas 39.65
Alex Song 30.21
Abou Diaby 13.72
Others 16.42

Valerie Hull from Fleetwood has won the chance to present Cesc with his award before the Everton game on Saturday. Valerie will also receive two tickets to the match.

"Despite his injury, Cesc came off the bench to win the match against Aston Villa," said Valerie. "He is our playmaker and he is an inspiration to the team."
