Eduardo... 16/5 to score the first Arsenal goal
Paddy Power's charity bet of the weekend
The Paddy Power Charity Bet is back - and this time Arsenal and Paddy are going head to head to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Every Thursday or Friday, we'll reveal our bets of the week and we'll tot up the winnings over the course of the campaign with every pound going to Arsenal's Charity of the Season. May the best punter win!
Paddy outclassed us in the tipping stakes last season so we're out for revenge and have tweaked the rules slightly. We at Arsenal will be betting on the Gunners alone while Paddy’s bet must be outside the Arsenal sphere.
Read on for this week's selections:
Paddy Power: £25 single: Manchester City to beat Liverpool - 16/5
Arsenal.com: £25 single: Eduardo scores the first Arsenal goal - 16/5
Nicolas Anelka's late goal for France in Ireland denied us a big win last weekend so it's back to the drawing board with just £90 needed to take the charity bet pot to £1000.
Sunderland could make life very difficult for Arsenal at the Stadium of Light and it wouldn't be a surprise to see them take the lead on Saturday. But the Gunners seem capable of scoring in any game and Eduardo has to be a good bet to open their account this weekend.
The Croatian is expected to step in for Robin Van Persie in the centre forward role and is 5/1 to score the first goal of the game. We're being a bit more cautious by backing Eduardo to score the first Arsenal goal at odds of 16/5.
Paddy picked a big winner last month when he tipped Aston Villa to beat Chelsea and he's going for another minor shock this weekend. Our official online bookmaker is backing Manchester City to win at Liverpool and he should get a run for his money at tempting odds of 16/5.
