Arsène Wenger has revealed Sol Campbell has been training with Arsenal but insists he is only helping the former Gunners star keep fit.
Campbell made 197 appearances in five seasons at the Club before leaving for Portsmouth in 2006.
The defender joined Notts County in August but only played one game before leaving the League Two outfit by mutual consent.
In a bid to keep fit, Campbell asked Wenger if he could train at Arsenal and the Frenchman was only too happy to oblige.
"He asked me if he could come back here and have some fitness sessions," said Wenger. "He trained on Thursday with us.
"When you are used to a team sport, it can be difficult for an individual to keep completely fit on his own."
However, when asked if the fitness sessions would develop into anything more serious, Wenger was adamant that would not be the case.
"No," replied Wenger. "We help him out to get fit."
