Alex on Song in Cameroon Olympic campaign
Alex Song's Olympics came to an end at the Quarter-Final stage over the weekend but the centre back can look back on Beijing with pride.
The 20-year-old sat out Cameroon's first game, a 1-1 draw with the Korea Republic. However he returned in the 1-0 win over Honduras. Song's presence over the next three games was a huge factor in his country's record of three successive 90-minute shut-outs before Rafael Sobis struck for Brazil in extra-time of the Quarter-Final match. Albert Baning had earlier been sent off for the African Nations Cup runners-up.
Marcelo added to Sobis' strike and ended Cameroon's interest in the competition.
