Alexis celebrates scoring for Chile

Two of our first team stars was in international action on Thursday night as the group stages of the Confederations Cup continued in Russia.

Alexis played the full 90 minutes of his side's 1-1 draw with Germany and set a new record by becoming Chile’s all-time top scorer. The Arsenal forward has now scored 38 times for his country.

Chile took the lead in the sixth minute when Alexis capitalised after swapping passes with Arturo Vidal, prodding home the game’s opening goal. Lars Stindl tapped in an equaliser from close range as the game ended all-square.

Shkodran Mustafi played the entirety of the game for Germany.
