Shkodran Mustafi played the full 90 minutes as Germany won 3-2 against Australia in Sochi.
Lars Stindl opened the scoring before Thomas Rogic’s leveller in the 41st minute. Julian Draxler restored the lead shortly before the interval, converting a penalty after Leon Goretxka had been felled by Massimo Luongo. Leon Goretzka made it 3-1 within three minutes of the restart, and Tomi Juric’s strike proved to be little more than a consolation.
