‘Goal at Emirates is a dream come true’

Granit Xhaka’s stats from the Manchester United game made for impressive reading: 85 touches, 74 passes with a 94.6 per cent accuracy - and of course the crucial opening goal.

It was the midfielder’s first at Emirates Stadium for us, and one that capped off a fine overall display.

“It’s an unbelievable feeling to score my first goal at this stadium,” Xhaka told Arsenal Player. “The atmosphere was excellent. To score the first goal in an important win against Manchester United… it’s a dream come true.

“I think we gave a really good performance today. Everybody ran for each other, fought for each other, and that helps you look better.

"I’m really satisfied to have been able to help the team, and I hope that continues in the coming weeks.”
