Every season the domestic cup competitions present young stars with an opportunity to stake a claim and catch the eye of the boss.
One player to be given their chance in this season’s Emirates FA Cup is Jeff Reine-Adelaide, having started twice and appeared in all three of our games in the competition so far - and he's loved every minute.
“The stand-out moment for me was our match against Southampton when we won 5-0,” Reine-Adelaide told Arsenal Player. “I had the opportunity to play and to help the team.
“For me that’s been the highlight so far in this competition.
With Saturday’s quarter-final on the horizon, Reine-Adelaide is keen to impress Arsene Wenger once again.
?“I think we have to make sure that our desire to win is as great as Lincoln’s,” he said. “We are playing at home which should help us, of course, but we must make sure we have a fighting mentality and a real desire to win the match. It’s an important game.?
“I always prepare exactly the same way. They are a team and you need to respect them. Every team needs to be respected. We all have to prepare in our usual way if we want a good result.”?
