Tuesday, June 12, Czech Republic 0-2 Turkey
Petr Cech played the full 90 minutes of the Czech Republic’s 2-0 defeat against Turkey. There was nothing the goalkeeper could have done to prevent Burak Yilmaz’s opening goal in the 10th minute, before the Czechs came close to equalising when Tomas Sivok rattled the woodwork with a header. Despite the Czech Republic's pressure, Ozan Tufan doubled the Crescent Stars’ lead just past the hour mark with a powerful strike from inside the box. The Czech Republic continued to attack, but were unable to pull a goal back as they finished bottom of Group D. Tomas Rosicky did not play.

Friday, June 17, Czech Republic 2-2 Croatia

Tomas Rosicky claimed an assist and Petr Cech played the full 90 minutes as the Czech Republic came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Croatia. It was tough going for the two Arsenal men as the Croats - tipped as dark horses by Arsene Wenger - took the lead through Ivan Perisic before half time. Ivan Rakitic doubled their advantage, but Rosicky helped drag the Czech Republic back into it with a brilliant outside of the foot cross for Milan Skoda to head home. There was then late drama as Tomas Necid buried a 93rd-minute penalty to equalise after a handball in the box.

Monday, June 13, Spain 1-0 Czech Republic
Petr Cech played the full 90 minutes of Czech Republic’s 1-0 defeat to Spain. The goalkeeper made a number of good saves, including fine stops to deny Alvaro Morata and Jordi Alba in the first half. Gerard Pique’s late header condemned Pavel Vrba’s side to defeat in their Group D opener. Tomas Rosicky played 89 minutes, becoming the oldest player to represent the Czech Republic at the European Championship.
