Hector Bellerin says Arsenal’s trip to Manchester City will be decisive in their bid to secure third place in the Premier League.

If the Gunners win at Etihad Stadium, they would guarantee a spot in next year’s Champions League, thereby avoiding a play-off at the start of next season.

"As a club, we need to take pride and always look to be the highest we can be"

Arsenal then face already-relegated Aston Villa next weekend, but Bellerin is keen to tie up matters as quickly as possible.

“We still have something to fight for in these two weeks coming up,” he said. “We have to be focused and 100 per cent ready for it.

“It is one of the biggest games of the season [at Man City]. We want that Champions League spot, and that is something that is really important for us as a club. This is the game that is going to decide whether we have it or not.

“For us, we need to win this game. If we can push for second, then we will push for second. As a club, we need to take pride and always look to be the highest we can be.

"We know it is going to be a difficult game, they came from a loss last week and they will want to make amends for that. I think we need to be focused on ourselves and give 100 per cent."
