Ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Manchester United in February, 35 lucky supporters travelled to Old Trafford with Ray Parlour on a specially-chartered boat.
The supporters were offered a place on the boat through Arsenal’s Membership Rewards Scheme. As the club’s Official Car and Van Rental Partner, Europcar was happy to support the day.
The lucky fans arriving at Manchester Piccadilly station were greeted by Europcar representatives and taken to the shuttle service. They were then transported to Spinning Fields Bridge to board the boat where Ray Parlour was waiting to greet them.
The boat made its way down the River Irwell towards Old Trafford and supporters were treated to an exclusive Q&A with the Arsenal legend. mcmFurthermore Europcar provided goodie bags to each fan which consisted of Europcar products such as car chargers in addition to the opportunity to sign up to the Europcar Privilege Card.
The trip coincided with the launch of Europcar’s Fan of the Season competition looking for Arsenal’s ‘Best Travelled’ fan.
Speaking at the event, Ray Parlour said: “Travelling by boat with supporters was definitely a first for me and what a fantastic way to get to a game. It’s great to see that Arsenal are rewarding fans with great experiences like this.”
Ken McCall, Managing Director, Europcar UK Group added: “As an official partner of Arsenal we want to help the club provide unique opportunities for its fans. This unique journey to Old Trafford will hopefully be one these supporters will talk about for years to come.”
