Arsenal welcomes Bank Muamalat

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce a three-year partnership with PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia TBK to issue co-branded debit cards in Indonesia.

As a result of the partnership, Bank Muamalat’s customers and Arsenal fans in Indonesia will be offered a range of club-related benefits, including official merchandise and match tickets to see the team in action at Emirates Stadium.

Bank Muamalat will develop innovative marketing initiatives and customer promotions, generate content with Arsenal first-team players and utilise the club’s database to engage further with Arsenal fans in Indonesia. As part of the agreement, Arsenal coaches will also be visiting Indonesia to run coaching clinics on behalf of Bank Muamalat.

Vinai Venkatesham, Chief Commercial Officer at Arsenal, said: “We are delighted to welcome Bank Muamalat to our family of commercial partners. Bank Muamalat is a well-established bank in Indonesia with a stable and ever increasing customer base. “This is the second partnership we have concluded in Indonesia this season and underlines the level of support we have in the country. With more Indonesian fans following Arsenal on Facebook than in any other country, we have a significant opportunity to engage further with our supporters through this partnership with Bank Muamalat”.

Endy Abdurrahman, CEO of Bank Muamalat, said: “Bank Muamalat strives to give the best experience to customers through collaboration with selected partners in order to achieve our vision. Arsenal, as one of the best football clubs in the world with brilliant performances in the Barclays Premier League, is the right partner for the Bank to increase business growth primarily in the youth segment by becoming the first Islamic bank in Indonesia to co-brand with an international football club.”
