Supporters are being encouraged to get to home games earlier than usual due to the additional security measures in place on matchdays at Emirates Stadium.

The new procedures will remain for the foreseeable future. Supporters are advised to arrive a minimum of an hour before kick-off for games, to allow for the increased security presence around the stadium.

This involves additional security checks around the podium area and at the turnstiles, for adult and junior supporters.

Fans are also advised not to bring bags to matches unless absolutely necessary.

Stadium Director John Beattie said: "This is all about ensuring everyone is able to come and enjoy the games safely. We ask for supporters' continued patience with the measures put in place since the tragic events in Paris. We have managed to keep delays to a minimum but the best way to avoid any slight hold ups getting into the stadium is to arrive early.”
