Gedion Zelalem claimed an assist in Rangers’ 4-0 win against Dumbarton in the Scottish Championship. Jason Holt gave the hosts the lead before Zelalem set up Martin Waghorn for the second goal of the game. Nathan Oduwa’s strike and Andrew Halliday’s penalty wrapped up the win.

Isaac Hayden played the full 90 minutes of Hull’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester City in the League Cup. Wilfried Bony gave the hosts the lead in the first half. Kelechi Iheanacho scored with 10 minutes to go before Kevin De Bruyne claimed a brace. Andrew Robertson pulled one back for the visitors. Chuba Akpom played 68 minutes of the tie.
