“They played up the pitch and we wanted to play in possession, so you have to go to the same level of aggression and intensity. In the first minutes it was difficult, as they were occupying the pitch and were pressing and I think we found a way before the red card. We found a way to combine and be dangerous on occasions. During the game, we were very concentrated in this situation and we played very well.”
Pedro Martinez Losa

“All year we have wanted to come home with a trophy and prove what we can do. We worked well as a team and fully deserved it.”

“I thought it was an outstanding performance. We got a clean sheet, scored a goal, put in a fantastic midfield performance and the players on the wings were outstanding. The back four and goalkeeper obviously want a clean sheet. I think all in all we started the game so brightly and were electric. We were deserved winners on that night.”
Casey Stoney

“The first 30 minutes were great and the style that we are looking for. We created four or five very clear chances to score and in that game the opponent is of a good level and they made it difficult for us. There was moments for them and moments for us but we were more competitive.”
Pedro Martinez Losa

“They have so many ex-Arsenal players at Chelsea and we know that rivalry is already there and what it means to them. Normally there is a rivalry as both teams like to attack and there is that physical mentality in both teams so it is always going to be a good game against Chelsea.”
Alex Scott

“It was the first top game we had where we played well, and although we were a little unfocused for a parts of the season, we had a very solid game at Chelsea. We drew 0-0 but I think we deserved the win - the team was very organised and we felt like we had left that pitch with a winning feeling. Although we didn’t win, I was very pleased with the performance.”
