Arsenal for Everyone

The club will be celebrating Arsenal for Everyone at Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Everton.

Through this club initiative, Arsenal strives to ensure that everybody connected with the club - irrespective of race, age, religion and belief, sexual orientation, disability and gender - feels an equal sense of belonging.

To mark this special event in our club calendar, the club will welcome a number of special guests to this weekend’s match. Football’s equality and inclusion organisation, Kick it Out, are guests in the club’s Directors Box and they are joined by Maurice Morag and Andy Dixon from Arsenal’s senior citizens indoor bowls group.

Young people who participate in the club’s Kicks Project, a social inclusion programme that partners the police with the football industry will be welcomed pitchside, with a further three youngsters representing those who play football at Rosemary Gardens in Islington with Arsenal in the Community coaches. They will be joined by participants from our mental health football sessions, a member of our women’s learning disabilities group and Michael Ishiguzo, who plays in the amputee football team that were recently joined at a session by Theo Walcott, Petr Cech and Aaron Ramsey.

They will all unveil an Arsenal for Everyone banner, which will be a permanent feature inside Emirates Stadium. We will also hear from Wayne Busbridge, a visually impaired season ticket holder who recently featured on a fascinating Radio Five Live feature, the Blind Faithful.

Arsenal legend Lee Dixon will officially open the newly-renovated disabled supporters’ lounge before kick-off, and leading the team out as ball carrier will be a 14-year-old ambulant disabled supporter, Thomas.

Watch out for a clip of the new Arsenal for Everyone video on the big screens too. This is a video which will be used as a training tool at Arsenal and as a celebration of our work with our diverse fan base, staff and matchday workers.
