Counterfeit tickets - warning

The club has issued a warning to supporters about buying tickets from unauthorised sources after a number of counterfeit membership cards were presented at the match against West Ham United.

Holders of these counterfeit cards were not allowed into the stadium, despite having travelled significant distances in some cases.

Arsenal Football Club tickets are only available through the channels outlined on Arsenal.com. The Ticket Exchange and Ticket Transfer services are also in place for fans registered with the club’s membership scheme, to provide a secure and convenient service for supporters wishing to resell their season tickets to fellow members.

This service will assist in its objective of eradicating the unauthorised and illegal sale of tickets through touts. Supporters can find out more information about the two services by visiting www.arsenal.com/ticketexchange.

Supporters are reminded not to purchase tickets on the secondary market or through any unknown source. A number of companies and individuals do advertise on the internet claiming to provide official Arsenal tickets.

Arsenal has taken advice from the police, who suggest that anyone living in the UK who has fallen victim to purchasing counterfeit tickets should report this via the non-emergency telephone line 101 or to a local police station. The website www.actionfraud.police.uk can also be used to report incidents, which can be used by those living outside the UK.

If you are in any doubt as to whether a ticket vendor is legitimate, please contact the Arsenal switchboard on 020 7619 5003 (open Monday to Friday 0900 to 1700, except Bank Holidays) or email ask@arsenal.co.uk.
