Arsenal Under-19s 1-1 Stuttgart (Arsenal won 4-2 on penalties)

Arsenal Under-19s beat Stuttgart on penalties to reach the final of the Durban Under-19 International Tournament.

Ryan Huddart saved twice in the shoot-out before Gedion Zelalem held his nerve to set up the competition’s decider against PSV Eindhoven on Saturday.

Yassin Fortune had given the Gunners the lead when he curled Savvas Mourgos’ through ball into the far corner but Berkay Ozcan equalised soon after, smashing beyond Huddart to take the game to penalties.

Ben Sheaf, Chris Willock and Josh Dasilva were on target from the spot before Huddart saved twice, allowing Zelalem to coolly roll the winning penalty into the bottom corner.

Arsenal team: Huddart, O'Connor, Chatzitheodoridis, Dasilva (Eyoma, 75), Osei-Tutu, Mourgos, Pileas, Donovan (Zelalem, 82), Sheaf, Hinds, Fortune (Willock, 69)

Subs not used: Keto, M. Bola, T. Bola, Pleguezuelo
