Close to 100 girls attended the event a Boreham Wood FC, before taking in Arsenal Ladies’ 2-0 victory over Bristol Academy at Meadow Park.

Arsenal mascot Gunnersaurus and Arsenal Ladies players Alex Scott and Leah Williamson came down to the festival to cheer the girls on.

Arsenal Ladies development officer Ciara Allen said: “It was a fantastic day and a fantastic turnout too. We had close to 100 girls playing and it was all about the football. The girls have all had a great time and they got to watch an Arsenal Ladies game for free which they wouldn’t necessarily do otherwise so it was a big success.
