Santi on victory and reaching the final

Santi Cazorla

Santi Cazorla addressed the media after Arsenal reached the final of the FA Cup with a hard-fought victory over Reading. Read on for a full transcript of what he said:

on the game…
It was difficult, always. We played against Reading and [we know] from the game last year against Wigan that it’s not easy to win the game. The team tried until the end of the game and now we have to play the final.

on if he has sympathy for Federici…
Yes of course, it’s unlucky for him. They played well and defended very strongly. In the second half, we lost control. It was important for us to be organised and in the second half, we [found it more tough].

on it being hard for Arsenal to find top level…
Yes of course. We need to play well if we want to win, but today we sometimes lost organisation. It’s very important for us. When we play organised we win and in the second half we lost this organisation. Now we have to prepare for the final and we have a week’s rest.

on what it means to him to be in another final…
We want to win for the fans. It’s always special to play at Wembley and we have a good opportunity to get the title. Now we have to wait for the other team - Liverpool or Aston Villa.
