Gabriel has been called up to the Brazil squad for the first time.
The Arsenal defender is in line to make his international debut when the selecao face Chile at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, March 29.
Corinthians defender Gil and Shakhtar Donetsk striker Luiz Adriano have also been added to the squad, with Paris Saint-Germain pair David Luiz and Marquinhos, and Shandong Luneng forward Diego Tardelli missing out through injury.
