Extra: Boss on title race and Twitter

Here are some extra quotes from Arsene Wenger's pre-match press conference. For more headlines, visit our Digest page.

on Rio Ferdinand's ban for Twitter altercation…
We are concerned as well about statements on Twitter, things going out of the club that should not go out. It's important to keep that under control. In the modern world, it's very difficult but we try.

on holding players in the box…
Zero tolerance is certainly possible but you want the obvious ones you see here and there on television [to be] punished because television is an example always for what referees tolerate or not tolerate. On the other hand it is difficult for them to see everything, and does the defender grab the defender or the striker grab the defender? To analyse that is not easy at normal pace.

on talk of Chelsea emulating the 'Invincibles'…
It's nine games played. There's a long way to go. It's too early [to say].

on the title race…
Chelsea are in a strong position at the moment. I believe it would not be realistic to just think now that we'll catch back Chelsea very quickly. We have to get consistent results to get a chance to come back. Personally, I'm more focused on the quality of our games and on the consistency of our results, before we think about coming back on Chelsea.
