Wenger - Best attackers are in England

Arsene Wenger says the attacking nature of the Premier League demonstrates that the world's best forwards ply their trade in England.

Some 143 goals have been scored after the first five rounds of league matches this season, an increase of a third on the 2013/14 campaign.

According to Wenger, that rise reflects the quality of the top flight's attacking talent.

"Basically we have all of the best attacking players in Europe here"

"When you look at the top-quality players that come into the Premier League now, basically we have all of the best attacking players in Europe here," Wenger said.

"The creative players also play in England. If you look at the big clubs, [they have] the huge financial potential and huge offensive power.

"I believe as well that the financial potential of the English Premier League allows lower clubs with less financial potential to buy the best players in Europe, because the clubs in the second half of the Premier League still have more financial potential than Italian and Spanish clubs.

"All the good players play here."
