Ramsey - Extra responsibility feels good

Aaron Ramsey is relishing the added responsibilities he has taken on in the Arsenal team as he aims for further glory this season.

The 23-year-old was voted the club’s Player of the Season for 2013/14 after scoring 16 goals in all competitions, including the winner in the FA Cup final.

The Wales international has become a mainstay in the side and he says that the best is yet to come - both personally and collectively.

“I made my debut when I was 16 so I've been playing for a number of years and been learning my trade if you like,” Ramsey told the Arsenal Magazine. “I think I've always been quite mature for my age. I moved here when I was 17 and had to grow up pretty quickly.

“Now I feel like I am as mature as I can be. I've got a lot more responsibility and I've become used to that and it feels good. I just want to improve on last season and try to become the best player I can possibly be.

“It was nice [to score the winner in the FA Cup final] but hopefully I can have more than that - hopefully it's not the only thing I achieve.

“I'm confident I can improve and have many more of those wonderful moments. I'm really excited with the way things are developing and about what the future holds.”
