Fans snap up club travel offer

Goodison Park - Everton ground

More than 320 Arsenal fans have taken advantage of the club’s cut-price coach travel offer to the game against Everton on Saturday.

The club reduced the normal cost of return coach travel to £15 for Away Scheme members to help supporters get to and from the game due to Bank Holiday rail engineering works. It would normally cost £28.

Six coach loads of supporters will make the trip and Arsenal’s Supporters’ Liaison Officer Mark Brindle said: “We recognised it was going to be difficult for fans to get back from Goodison by train so we decided to offer reduced price coach travel as part of our on-going efforts to help our away supporters. The take up has been fantastic with double the normal number of fans travelling with us on the day.”

The Everton travel option is part of a package of initiatives by the club for away fans which includes reducing the cost of away match tickets by £2.50 a game and providing a £10 voucher at an away game around Christmas. For full details click here.
