We asked the first-team squad which games they will be looking out for after the fixtures for the new season came out. This is what they had to say:

Per Mertesacker:
I always look forward to the London derbies, and in particular the games against Tottenham Hotspur. They are always massive games for us, for the whole city and especially for the fans. So I'm looking forward to those games and maybe we can win against them again, like we did last season - two times in the league and once in the FA Cup. We want to do that again!

Laurent Koscielny:
Well I'm sure every player will say Tottenham, because it's a derby and they are special

I look for the big games against Chelsea, Man City and Man United because those are the games that can decide who will win the title

games for the players and the fans. Those two games are very important. After that I look for the big games against Chelsea, Man City and Man United because those are the games that can decide who will win the title. You need to get a lot of points against those teams if you want to win the league.

Tomas Rosicky:
Usually I look to what will be the very first game of the season, because the excitement is already there so you always look to see who we will start against. After that I look at when we will play Spurs because they are always big games.

Lukas Podolski:
The first game I look out for is against Tottenham at home. It's a big derby game for us, and I love playing in those matches.

Carl Jenkinson:
I think the first game most of the boys look out for is against Spurs of course, but I also like the games against Man City. I like playing at their stadium, it's a great place to play, so they are the two main ones.

Wojciech Szczesny:
I always look forward to Tottenham home and away, and after that the Liverpool away game, as I think that's the best atmosphere in the country.

Nacho Monreal:
I'm looking to the Chelsea game because this season we lost 6-0 there and so we want our revenge next year.

Serge Gnabry:
I look forward to playing against Chelsea because they are a good side and I always want to beat them.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain:
When the fixtures come out at the start of the season, the game I most look forward to is against Southampton, simply because it's my old club where I grew up. Going back there is always really nice for me. I have to say the derby against Spurs as well, that's always a massive game that the whole club looks forward to.
