Johan Djourou played 90 minutes and was booked as Switzerland snatched a last-gasp win over Ecuador in their Group E opener.

Enner Valencia put Ecaudor in front on 22 minutes when he powered home a close-range header from Walter Ayovi's free-kick.

The Swiss got back on level terms three minutes into the second half when substitute Admir Mehmedi headed in Ricardo Rodriguez's corner.

The game looked set to finish all square but in the third minute of stoppage time Rodriguez's low cross was turned home by Haris Seferovic.
