Arsenal and Gatorade provided a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for 120 elite teenage football players at Emirates Stadium on Sunday night.
From early evening, the young athletes ran through the hallowed players’ tunnel at Emirates Stadium to compete in small-sided games and advanced skills challenges on the Gunners’ home pitch.
Later on, Arsenal legend and former England international Martin Keown made a surprise appearance, sharing his own inspirational story of how hard work and dedication leads to "unreal" performances on the pitch.
The unique event gave a small preview of what is to come for the winners of the Gatorade 'Unreal Around the World' contest, which offers an incredible, two-week global football experience, including pro-calibre access and opportunities to train at top-tier clubs all over the world.
To enter, contestants will post a video to the newly-launched www.GatoradeFootball.com that demonstrates their football handling skills, creativity and originality, and draft a short essay highlighting the real work they’ve put in to improve their game.
Contest submissions will be accepted through to June 12, 2014.Copyright 2014 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source 27 May 2014
