Frank Stubbs: Summer is coming

13/14: Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City - Mathieu Flamini

We find ourselves deep in the middle of what is always a major scramble for Wembley match tickets right now, a period sandwiched between our massive league games against Man City and Everton.

After our Stamford Bridge outing and the gut-wrenching last-minute equaliser we conceded against Swansea, there was a real sense that we were all very much in need of a 'lift' as Man City came to town. There is no doubt performance-wise we got it, even if I couldn't help but feel we had finished the week four points worse off than we could have.

Going forward, of course, it sees us heading up to Everton on Sunday not just looking upwards but over our shoulders at those chasing. This includes our hosts in what is a massive game for both clubs.

Win, lose or draw the fight for Champions League football, whatever position that might be, will go to the very end I'm sure.

For now, however, our concentration needs to be 100 per cent on Sunday afternoon and nothing else.

See you at Goodison.

Come on you mighty reds!
