Arsenal’s annual charity fun run, ‘Be a Gunner. Be a Runner’, returns in one month on Saturday, April 5 and will see fans from all corners of the globe come together to raise awareness and funds for The Arsenal Foundation.

The flagship run at Emirates Stadium will see runners young and old complete laps around the Gunners’ home and there’s still time to sign up and play your part in making this year’s event another great success.

The adult race for runners aged 15 and over costs £15 to enter and consists of 10 laps around the outside of the Emirates - an equivalent distance of 6.4km.

All adult race entrants are encouraged to commit to a fundraising target of £150 in sponsorship, with anyone raising over £500 receiving a special ‘Top Gunner’ race t-shirt on the day, as well as a special prize for their outstanding support.

Young supporters, meanwhile, can sign up for a shorter one-lap (aged six and under) or two-lap (aged seven to 14 years) race, which costs just £5 to enter.

Since The Arsenal Foundation was launched, more than £1 million has been committed to support projects home and away that are benefiting in excess of 100,000 people. In recognition of the incredible support of players, staff and supporters towards the Foundation’s work, this year’s event will also have a special ‘heroes’ theme, with runners encouraged to wear fancy dress on the day, with prizes on offer for the ‘best dressed’.

With a host of other entertainment and activities to enjoy on the day, the event is shaping up to be a great occasion for the whole family.

Bagbar 2014 has also seen the Club’s global fanbase embrace the event once more and arrange simultaneous runs in their own countries over the weekend of April 5/6, which is set to give the event a truly international flavour.

From Belarus to Bangladesh and Lebanon to Los Angeles, individuals and groups across more than 25 countries are preparing to run across cities, parks and beaches to spread the message of The Arsenal Foundation’s work far and wide.

Any non UK-based supporters that want to get involved simply need to devise a 6.4km running route within their local territory and email the details to bagbar2014@arsenal.co.uk. All successful applicants will receive a unique race number to wear with pride on the day and an exclusive Arsenal home shirt signed by the 2013/14 first-team squad will be on offer for the top international fundraiser!

Every penny raised from 'Be a Gunner. Be a Runner 2014' will be used to support even more projects that transform the lives of young people in the UK and overseas.
