Yossi Benayoun had certainly endeared himself to Arsenal fans by the end of his season-long loan spell from Chelsea.
The Israeli international made a late summer move from the Gunners' London rivals in August and joined a midfield suffering the losses of both Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby to injury.
But first-team opportunities initially proved difficult to come by and it was not until the latter months of the campaign that he really started to make a major impact at Emirates Stadium.
Wenger often entrusted Yossi in the bigger games of the season and it was his solid display on the left wing against Tottenham which ultimately earned him a more regular place as Arsenal looked to seal automatic qualification for the Champions League.
Soon he became an integral member of the first team and claimed goals against Wolves, Norwich and West Brom before the season's end. Quite what the midfielder's immediate future holds remains to be seen, but everyone at the Club appreciates his efforts during an excellent loan spell.
SOUNDBITE
“I finish here in a good way. In the last few months I have been more involved. Of course you want to play and you want to enjoy it and I think I have played a big part in the last few games. You always remember the end and I am happy with my performances in the last few months."

FINEST MOMENT
While Yossi played a bigger role towards the end of the campaign, it was Arsenal's trip to Aston Villa in December which was perhaps his best moment. Coming off the bench in the closing stages and with the scores level, the diminutive midfielder headed home with just three minutes remaining to seal a vital win at Villa Park.
