South Korea international Ju Young Park joined the Club at the end of the summer transfer window but found chances limited in his first season at Emirates Stadium.
After being allowed time to settle in England, Ju first appeared in the Carling Cup against Shrewsbury and then scored a well-taken goal in the next round against Bolton. But due to the imperious form of Robin van Persie, the forward found opportunities in the Premier League harder to come by.
Ju reminded everyone of his talent with a number of goalscoring displays for the reserves and was handed further first-team chances against Marseille, Manchester City, Manchester United and AC Milan.
With a year at the Club now under his belt, Ju will have his sights set on making a big impact in his second season.
SOUNDBITE
“All my team-mates are great players. I will do my best to prepare myself to take any random chances at any time. I am new to this club and to the Premier League. I am trying hard to learn more and more. I don’t worry about getting used to everything or anything.”
