Sadly another impressive campaign for Bacary Sagna may best be remembered for the two leg fractures that he suffered.

The Frenchman was sidelined for four months after sustaining the first injury at White Hart Lane in October, before being ruled out of Euro 2012 with the same injury higher up his leg against Norwich in May.

Prior to that, Bacary had once again proved to be the very epitome of consistency, his ferocious will to win vital in defence and his energetic bursts up the right flank creating a further attacking outlet for the team.

While his injury against Tottenham proved a setback, Bacary slotted back into the team with ease upon his return. He quickly found his feet to continue his effective understanding with Theo Walcott down the right.

Bacary's header against Tottenham at Emirates Stadium in February helped spark a superb Arsenal comeback, while he made his 200th appearance for the Club in the 3-0 win at Wolves in April.

It is little wonder Wenger says the France international is the best right back in the Premier League. "I believe that everybody at the Club would share this opinion,” he said. “Many people outside the Club have this opinion as well."

"I’m very proud [to play 200 games] and I hope that many more games will come with Arsenal. I feel I’m part of the scenery here. It’s a real honour to play here. I am so lucky to be part of the history of this Club.”

It does not get much better than sparking a dramatic comeback against your local rivals. With Arsenal two goals down to Tottenham inside 34 minutes, Harry Redknapp's side seemed set to open up a seemingly unassailable lead over the Gunners. But Sagna's bullet header five minutes before the break halved the deficit and sent Arsenal on their way to a memorable 5-2 victory. It proved to be a major turning point in the season.
