It's Friday, so it's time for the Friday Goal brought to
you by Budweiser!
To get you in the mood before Arsenal games we usually bring you FREE VIDEO footage of an historic goal against our forthcoming opponents.
This week we take you back to March 1994 and a stunning late equaliser by Paul Merson.
Manchester United had taken an early lead through winger Lee
Sharpe but an own goal by Gary Pallister restored parity nine
minutes before the break.
Sharpe then grabbed what looked like being the winner
after 53 minutes but with 12 minutes remaining, the Gunners
struck again.
Lee Dixon found Merson with a superb, lofted ball which took the
striker clear of the United defence on the right of the box. Merson
waited for the ball to drop, took his time and rifled a right-foot
shot towards the top left-hand corner. The ball ricocheted off the
post and the underside of the crossbar before nestling in the
back of the net.
