On reaching the group stages...
"We finished the job well by scoring an early goal and after that of course it took a little bit of edge out of the game. We kept good focus, there's not a lot more to say. In the two ties we did not concede a goal, we scored five, two late goals in the second half today. You felt always that if needed we could put our foot on the gas and score."

On Walcott's performance...
"I feel that the confidence is there, and that in every game he can reproduce some good performances. We changed many players tonight, and he still can have a good link in the game and be dangerous. He had a good first half, yes. Theo is quality, he can be decisive, you know? He's very direct and quick, a good finisher, has good crosses. I feel he's improving his link play and he's more aggressive, I think he has assets in his game, when he uses them well he can be dangerous for everybody."

On his Champions League hopes...
"This team has already been in the Final, we are now in the group stage. Let's get out of the group stage first and then we shall see."

On Eduardo...
"He was the opposite of Theo, I found him more at ease on the left flank, where he had tricks of a winger, and then through the middle. He's a great striker, you know, and you could see that. We did not always have the drive to find our strikers because we were more concerned with keeping the ball than finding our strikers, but if you find him he will score goals. That's what he has, you know? He's a box player."

On keeping a clean sheet...
"I expected not to concede a goal and we managed that. I felt last year we wanted to improve our defensive record and at the moment that is looking pretty good."

On Fabregas' black-band tribute to Antonio Puerta...
"He played with the guy in the Under-21s and, of course, it was a big shock."
