On the result...
"I feel we wanted to win the game. We could
have maybe nicked the 1-0 perhaps but they saved a goal on the
line. In fairness they could have won the game as well on a
free-kick or cross.
"Both teams had a good defensive performance and it was a game of little chances. After three defeats for us it was a good point and maybe it will be important at the end of the season.
"Also I feel that Newcastle were cautious. They did not give me the impression they were absolutely ready to risk everything to win the game. They were cautious not to come out too much."
On the lack of goals...
"I am not concerned at the moment. I feel our
confidence dropped a little bit because we'd lost three times.
The consequence is that you do not score as many goals as you are
used to. Of course with the games we have at home now it will be
important to score and I am confident that we will."
On the race for fourth place against Bolton...
"I feel that we will be OK. They had a good
opportunity to come back today but they played a 1-1 with Everton.
That keeps them at a good distance. It's down to us how well we
will do on Saturday."
On nerves in the side...
"I don't feel there is nervousness. We were
not scared to play today and we did well. They made it tight in
midfield. You could see by the end that the bodies of the 22
players were a bit jaded by the end. We'd had an enormous
physical game on Saturday perhaps we lacked sharpness in the final
third."
On Abou Diaby's role...
"He worked hard for the team today. I had hoped
his power to penetrate would give him some good chances. He had one
or two opportunities where he missed his final ball but overall he
did well."
On the lack of depth up front...
"We will find the resources because we have to
win this game on Saturday. I am confident that with the support of
our fans at Emirates we will win the game."
On the importance of finishing fourth...
"For the players, everybody inside the Club and
everybody who loves the Club, it is very important. We are used to
being in there and we want to do it again."
