on the performance…
First of all I would like to congratulate Kitchee for the quality of their football. They played very, very well. They are a team who are technically good, mobile, well organised and they gave us some problems in the first half. It took us some time to get into the game and we got what we wanted - a good challenge. We had to dig deep to come back and at the end of the day it was 2-2, which keeps Kitchee happy too. At least we have not lost the game.

We wanted to prepare physically and we got what we wanted because we have no injuries. We played a good game. It just shows you that it is more and more difficult everywhere to win; in Malaysia and here. The teams improve very quickly.

on any disappointments…
I think defensively we looked fragile, especially in the first half. In the second half not so much because we were not challenged. Defensively we have a lot of work to do as a unit to do much better.

on possible defensive incomings…

We let everybody play today and some players are not yet at the level of the Premier League. It is a learning process. If you don't do it in pre-season then you never do it - you give them a chance to see what is requested at the top level. I played all of the defenders during this tour to see who is ready and who is not. We have Sagna, Koscielny and Mertesacker at home - three experienced defenders.

on the tour positives…

There are a lot of positives because we had to fight in every game and for the team it was a great experience. Seeing different countries, for the players, was absolutely fantastic. You can see how much people care about our club - it was a great experience for us. We have learned to play when we are tired against good opponents and to dig deep and not lose. That is always good.

We loved Malaysia, we loved China and here in Hong Kong it is absolutely amazing. You have everything you want here; the sea, a nice city, good football. In my next life maybe I come here!

on Ryo
He had an ankle problem and we were not sure to play him. We did not play him against Manchester City because he is not 100 per cent at the moment, physically. I think you could see that he is not at his best at the moment. I think he needs two or three more weeks work to come back to his best.
