Arsène Wenger insists he is “nowhere near” to signing a player at the moment.
The Frenchman has moved quickly to acquire the services of Cologne striker Lukas Podolski and has been linked with moves for several other high-profile stars.
But Wenger has distanced himself from speculation surrouding one of those reported targets, Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila.
“It's not true, [there is no interest] at the moment,” said Wenger.
“We have not been in touch with anybody, we have not made any offer to anybody and we are nowhere near to buying anybody at the moment. We are focused on our final game of the season.”Copyright 2016 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
