on an eight-goal thriller...
"It is never boring here. You can accuse me of
a lot, but not of making it boring and the team played some
tremendous football today. Blackburn as well played well, and in
the end they were punished a little bit. Maybe too much because
Nonda, Bentley and Pederson played well going forward as well. I
must say we produced some football that is absolutely amazing to
watch."
on targets for this season...
"I told you yesterday that I believe we can
achieve something this season, but I think it's down to
consistency. We have put a little run together now with Porto,
Chelsea, Tottenham, Wigan, Portsmouth, today. It's just how
consistent we can be. You see that there's a great spirit in
the team, they enjoy to play. Not only do they enjoy to play
together, they enjoy to play at a high tempo. That's something
amazing and very interesting to watch."
on Blackburn's fightback...
"At 3-2 at some stage we were a little bit
exposed, because Jens had to make one or two saves. It could have
got them back to 3-3. But maybe sometimes because we were 3-1 we
were not cautious enough and our desire to go forward at any cost
sometimes can punish us."
on his goal of the day...
"The fifth goal is an amazing goal - the fifth
goal is a real Arsenal goal. The sixth is good as well because it
was individually Fabregas who passed on the flanks, but the fifth
goal was a collective goal. Adebayor plays Fabregas through, who is
in a position to shoot and cuts it back for Van Persie."
