Arsène Wenger, whose side have won their last three games, believes his faith in the spirit of his team will be vindicated in the long run.
The Arsenal manager suspects that critics have written off his side too quickly after their disappointing start to the campaign and has backed his players to the hilt once more ahead of Sunday’s North London derby.
“Maybe people expected us to crumble completely with the start that we had but they don’t know us well enough,” said Wenger.
“We have a very strong mentality in the team. We are highly-focused and motivated and we know that Tottenham are a good side and that it can be a difficult game.
“But it will be less difficult if we turn up with a great performance.”Copyright 2013 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source 30 Sep 2011
