on creating chances…
It was difficult out there tonight. It was freezing cold, there was a strong wind and the surface was hard. I thought we defended well from the front, we created a lot of chances from winning the ball in their half and the movement and combination play up front was good. Had the end product been a bit better, we maybe could have got four or five.
on a clean sheet…
We spoke about it during the week. We have been letting soft goals in and tonight the boys defended with a good attitude, with intelligence and saw danger when the ball needed to be cleared. As a team we defended well.
on the win reinforcing confidence…
I think the boys have got confidence and belief in themselves anyway. We needed to cut out giving soft goals away and we're working on that. We work through all general sides of the game, trying to develop the boys. That winning attitude means a lot and we're trying to give it to them.
