Arsène Wenger believes his strikers' versatility gives him plenty of options in the centre forward role.

Summer signings Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski have both enjoyed success up front, while Wenger has also deployed Gervinho, Marouane Chamakh and Theo Walcott in the position this season.

And Wenger says he will pick players in positions where they are of most use to the team.

“I believe it’s important to have potential central strikers,” he said.

“We have Walcott, Podolski, of course Gervinho can play through the middle. We still have Giroud and Chamakh so it’s good to have plenty of players who want to play there and [can] be capable to play there.”
