Tomas Rosicky is determined to rediscover his form of last season and help Arsenal to climb the Premier League table.

Rosicky made his first start for the Club in more than six months against Olympiacos on Tuesday, and marked his comeback with a well-taken goal.

The Czech midfielder was delighted to return to first-team action after a spell on the sidelines. Now he wants to be part of an Arsenal resurgence after a difficult month.

“I’m very happy to come back because it was a long time for me,” said Rosicky. “The boss told me before the game that he would let me play just until half time. I hope I can build everything up again.

“It’s just part of the game. You have to take it. It’s difficult for me. I can admit it because I had a good season behind me. I want to do the same as I did last year. I want to contribute.

“If you start to feel sorry for yourself, it’s the worst thing you can do. You have to fight and that’s what I’m able to do. As a team now, we’re not in a good position and we have to stick together now and fight. That’s the only thing we can do now.

“I will do my best to help this great Club to be much better again.”
