on the match…
I thought it was a good game, a tactical one and I think we should have maybe wrapped it up in the second half. We got caught by a sucker punch, gave a little free-kick away and Stephen Dobbie who is very good at free-kicks has punished us. Overall if we'd have taken our chances in the second half we could have come out a little bit better.

on not killing off the game…
I am disappointed but what's positive is our approach play - we are making chances, creating opportunities and they just have to learn to take them and be a bit more clinical and lethal in front of goal.

on what his team did well…

I thought to be fair to Swansea they tested us tactically and we dealt with the way they play. We came out in the second half and denied them any clear-cut chances and created three or four ourselves. Maybe if we'd scored one it might have been different but that's football. They have to learn that when the chances come they have to see them off. If they don't then they can always pay the penalty like they did tonight.

on Swansea's footballing intentions…
I think the way Swansea and Brendan Rogers run the team makes it a good tactical game. It makes you think, which is another side of football. It was a good lesson tonight.

on international break…
We'll be working right through, although we might give them a little break at the weekend. Then we're back in next week and getting ready for the start of the games again.

on the youngsters in the Reserves squad…

I talk with Bouldy and whoever is doing well, we push them up and we go from there. But they have to be doing well and working hard for Steve in the youth team.
