Arsène Wenger says he is not surprised by Eden Hazard’s impressive start to life in the Premier League.
The Belgian has been directly involved in seven of Chelsea’s nine league goals this season - scoring once and providing six assists.
And Wenger believes the talented 21-year-old was destined to be a success in English football.
“He has been voted best player of the French league [for] two consecutive years,” he said.
“You need some quality to do that at his age. I’m not surprised at all that he goes to Chelsea and straight away is one of their stars because everybody knew about him.
“Let’s not forget that all the big budgets in England were after him.”Copyright 2013 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source 27 Sep 2012
